TRR Hickoryote Gun aka "Grey" - '00 AQHA son of the top cutting sire Playgun and out of a daughter of Hickoryote. Bred by the famous Tongue River Ranch of TX, "Grey" was trained and shown at the NCHA World Champion Cutting Horse Futurity as a three year old by trainer Mike Mowery. An injury cut short his performance, after which he was laid off to recover, gelded, and then purchased in Oklahoma. Since then, he has been shown by Kristen and won over $5000 at NCHA cuttings, as well as being the '06 All American Quarter Horse Congress $20,000 Non Pro Champion, '06 All American Quarter Horse Congress 5/6 Year Old Open Finalist, and most recently, the '08 ETCHA $10,000 Novice Non Pro Champion. Affectionately called "Grey Baby", he is much loved and as pampered as a horse can be.
Rapid River Playboy aka "Bucky" or "Slick" - '01 AQHA son of top reining, cutting, and reined cowhorse sire Powder River Playboy. "Bucky" was trained and shown in the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity (reined cowhorse) as a three year old. Eventually, he found his way from CA to OH, where he was purchased by Kristen. He has since been shown in and excelled at reined cowhorse, penning, and ranch sorting. He is a true athlete and loves to go to work. His intelligence and mischievious personality make him fun to be around. He is a blast to ride! Truely an all around horse with many talents, much loved and pampered.
"Cletus" - 4 year old American Mustang adopted by Ryan from the BLM. Cletus has come along way from his wild days on the ranges of the West. He has been great to work with and Ryan has come a long way with him. He is gentle, likes and trusts people, has learned to lead, stand tied, have his feet handled, and is well broke to ride and in training. Ryan plans to use him as an all around ranch and roping horse. No one who meets him now would ever know that he was a wild mustang.
High Brow Jewel "Ronnie" - '00 AQHA son of High Brow Hickory. Ronnie is Ryan's newest cutting horse and in only two shows since we've had him, has already earned a check each time. Very sweet, happy boy, very fun to have around. Looking forward to showing him more in '09 and hoping to bring home lots of checks!
